create an ethereal experience that
honors life while also reminding us
what we are truly made of
in Spirit, Heart and Mind.

Altar Ego Design is a multi-faceted incorporation of antique textiles, painting and illustration, glass crystal beadwork and ethically-sourced taxidermy and bone to create romantic imagery surrounding taboo themes of death, chronic illness and societal decay utilizing both folklore & alchemical magick symbolism. All work is carefully designed by hand, any remains are professionally-treated and each design, be it wall or wearable, is reincarnated into new life.

Astrology, tarot, alchemy and the elements marry together with once-living remains to depict an evocation or a spark of strength to the wearer/viewer of my work based on their desired intention.

Lauren Miller has been delving
into the arts since she could
hold a pencil. Her themes are about 
overcoming and strength in perseverance:

 and pain her whole life.
